Lego Walls by Farah Yaqoob

Run into the darkness and pull out the depths of you Of Lego walls and broken clocks do we lay in inertia Inherited derailed and demised against a self-proclaimed loss of whims untamed Run into the darkness and pull it out why don't you A golden moment a song a dance a struggle of two Within the realms of uncertainty, a ghostly sky of burnished blue Flaming desires to achieve the right, defined by a guiding light break away Pull it apart from block of mind, set in the heart of stone Write it in the path of righteous, breathe into the dreams certainty, build the clocks of courage and pick into the wings of flight. Pull it out in the depths of truth. Time a castle, clocks of sand, sifting building falling, of Lego walls do we lay, in the beaches of our uncertain hearts scattered all around, astray

The Poet by Farah Yaqoob

The poet a patient with unknown illness Waits to admit into the realm of uncertainty Of quiet means and broken words Relapse a phrase of paragraph Does he break the path he sits in track To enter a session of hopes and dreams An allegorical yet somewhat symmetrical theme. A life unknown amidst today and tomorrow. Soul of a heart... colors in all Beats to the sound of moments unfolding... Twice the seconds he plans to have wrote Comes out in one, Half set and half stone.. Of time and clocks a similar scheme. A patient, a Poet.. No different than The skipping hearts of this beat unknown.

Chasing Cars by Farah Yaqoob

We follow through on paths altered.. Days pass by on cable cars.. Where closure and foreclosure altercate as quarrels of this century.. Honestly, honesty has redeemed its face in the crowd. Amongst the thousands I step. In hopes of losing a moment or two amongst these few Alone in a million we stray, altercate in closed doors we remain. A step of song as the ashes lay, signal of walls crashing closer. The car of few relapses back in time. Of a million and two amongst a few. Their faces as bright as certainly alone, walk towards the lights of their likings they do. Hands tremble of a thousand songs play, of familiar dance steps they play. As chasing cars a familiar note they lay. Round and round their words they relay. Cable cars and miles of this century they cease to chase...
